What's on my face? # 5

4.28.2013

Well hello there everybody, I'm feeling very motivated and have been churning out posts a with a bit more frequency compared to previous months. Let's hope my blogging mojo doesn't run out soon. For this edition of WOMF I decided to incorporate a bit of color, which is one of my favorite all time looks. I'm always adding a green liner since it really brings out the richness of brown eyes, but today, the green has been ditched and we're using a bright turquoise-blue shade.

Sadly, I forgot to take pictures of the products that I used, and that kinda kills the point of this entire post, but I'll try to take it later and update this post. In case anyone's interested, here's what I used.

FACE
1. Loreal True Match Foundation
2. Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer
3. Sleek Blush in Molten

EYES-
1. MUA Undressed Palette
2. Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer Palette
3. Essense Water Proof Liquid Liner
4. Revlon 2-in-1 Mascara
5. Rimmel Professional Brow Pencil

LIPS-
1. Custom Lip Color

Is this something you'd wear every day? Although it looks in-your-face since everything is soo zoomed in, it isn't too much even in the day time, just a little something for a bit of fun in the summer sun. That cheesy line rhymes haha.

Until next time, tc.

Haul-Extreme Nail Polish Haulage!

4.26.2013

As a blogger one of the traits I've developed in this insane urge to have collections of everything. If there is a new lipstick being launched, I don't want just one to try oh no, I want them all! It's a trait that my mother frowns upon whereas me, I'm still undecided whether its something positive or not haha!

On a recent sale at Beauty Arena, I decided to go absolutely bonkers and order all the nail polishes they had from the brand Profusion, since they were on clearance for dirt cheap and there are something that I just cannot resist. Nail polish on super clearance sales are one of them.

But before we dive into that extreme display of lack of control, here are a few polishes that I had picked up.

1. Luscious Fashion Polish by Nickie Nina
2.Rimmel 60 Second Polish in 400 Starlet
3. NX nail polish in London Baby

So here is where the proper haul starts, I decided to divide the nail polish into  categories. Here were have the 'Reds'.

1. Red Siren
2. Dream
3. Chic
4. Goldiva

This is what I'll call the 'pinks and coral' group. While all the polishes are shades of pink, they do have hints of coral in them, some more obvious than that others.

1. Orange Delight
2. French Pink
3. Pearl Pink
4. Lilac Dust

Here my favorite group out of the bunch which consist of two natural shades and two almost orange-ish shades.

1. Mocha
2. Honey
3. Gold
4. Ocre

Now last but not the least, these two blues are my favorite buys! They're potentially the prettiest colors I own, no joke!

1. Alt Bursting Lilac
2. Midnight
3. Sand Pearl
4. Peach Pink

So there we have it. I'm sure I won't be buying any nail varnish for quite some time since I have quite a variety of shades. Now let's come to the price. Would anyone beleive me if I told you that I got ALL the Profusion polishes for under PKR 800 and free shipping! How amazing?! Excellent deal or what?

You can by the Profusion nail polishes from Beauty Arena!
Price of Profusion Polish - PKR 50 (at clearance)
Luscious Polish - PKR 295
Rimmel 60 Second Polish - blog sale purchase
NX Polish - PKR 100 (available at Beauty Arena)

Hope you guys enjoyed my haul! Don't forget to enter my giveaway here.

Until next time, tc.

Summer Essentials Series # 1-The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter

4.23.2013

Do you fancy applying a buttery smooth and highly moisturizing subtle strawberry scent to make you feel fresher for the on coming summers? If you do, then read below to find out why you need to get your brightly manicured hands on the Body Shop's Strawberry Body Butter!

I really do like my body butters, but during the summers I don't necessarily require the super moisturizing powers of body butters like the shea butter, so I decided to go for a scent that is the complete opposite; light, fruity and fresh. Body Shop Strawberry body butter has a delicious strawberry scent that is not too over powering but leaves you smelling like a strawberry all day anyways. The body butter itself has just the right amount of moisture and hydration in it, doesn't feel heavy and cloggy upon application during the summers but it still get rids of any dryness you may have at points like elbows and ankles etc. I'd definitely recommend this because-

1. It's a great moisturizer.
2. Doesn't feel cloggy or too heavy.
3. Has a light yet long lasting summery scent.
4. Will last you ages.

Price- PKR 1200 (approx)

And if nothing else then just give this one a go just because of it pale pink prettiness. I mean, who could say no to applying pink moisturizer? Not me ladies.

Until next time, tc.

Recent Skin Care Bargains!

4.16.2013

Well hello there everybody! Once again, I've failed to be consistent with my blogging and there has been a huge gap in between posts, I'd just blame my sucky time management for it. Recently I ran out of my trusty St Ives Green Tea Scrub and couldn't find it anywhere so on a whim decided to give these two products a go from Himalaya Herbals.

Himalaya Herbal Fairness Face Wash Scrub-Now on the standard tube style packaging the products claims to brighten and reveal glowing skin and is laden with 100% pure herbal actives. Well, the question is, does it? I'd say it does. It is most probably the Saffron in it that really does give you an instant glow. Once you apply the face wash to your skin it does give you that typical soapy feeling but on the packing it claims to be soap-free so thats another added bonus. Scent wise, it has a mild scent, I would say the scent is like that of Fair and Lovely. Totally out of the blue comparison, but it is what it is haha.

Himalaya Herbals Clear Complexion Whitening Face Scrub- Now this tube has the same claims of brightening and revealing glowing skin and once again, it does live up to its claim. Would it lighten your skin tone? No, it will only brighten it, I feel like many people get confused between the two terms. Come to its scrubi-ness it is a mild scrub, something that I use everyday without the fear that it will over exfoliate and dry my skin out. Scent wise, its the same as the facial wash. The only complain I have perhaps, is that I would've liked the scrub to have more of the apricot granules.

All in all, here's a basic summary of the two products combined-

1. You have to use them together for visible results of a brighter complexion.
2. The results aren't permanent, meaning that when you stop using the products the 'brightness' will go away too.
3. Priced at PKR 230 each, the facial wash is 100ml whereas the scrub is 75ml.
4. Doesn't leave my combination skin feeling 'tight' and dry after being used.
5. I'd recommend this to all skin types since it's soap free, so it should work for dry skins as well.

Price-PKR 230 each
 Availability-All departmental stores.
A big thumbs up from my side for these two products, I will definitely be trying out some more!
Have you tried something recently that was an absolute bargain? Let me know in the comments below :)

Until next time, tc.

OOTD-Weddings and Sparkles

4.06.2013

Since GFC would be closing down soon I'd love it if you guys could follow me on Blog Lovin' to stay updated! Thanks! Click here please!

Anyways, onto the outfit! One of my really good friends got married this week and although I had intended on doing outfit posts for all the three events, I could barely manage getting the pictures for one! Oh well, maybe at someone else's wedding haha.

Excuse the not-so-high quality images, they were taken in a rush and honestly posing in a hotel is pretty embarrassing haha, especially when all these ladies turn around and stare at you like you're doing God knows what. I decided to go for a light chiffon frock on the Walima since its getting pretty warm and after being heavily dolled up on the first two functions, the Rasm E Hinna and the Reception, I couldn't find it in me to go all out on the third one.

Do you find this attire wedding appropriate? It's wedding season everywhere, are any of your relatives or friends getting married? Let me know in the comments below :)

Until next time, tc.

NOTD-OPI Mod About You

4.01.2013

Long time no nail post! Here's what I have to remedy that. With spring in the air, I decided to go for a light milky pastely pale pink with lilac undertones in the form of OPI's Mod About You

This wonderful shade is fully opaque in two coats and has a quick drying time along with an applicator that makes putting on the nail varnish a dream since you need only two strokes per nail. I can see now why this is considered such an OPI classic.

What do you have on your nails today?

Until next time, tc.
