Perfect Rimmel Combo!

I LOVEE liquid eyeliner, there has never been a time when I've sported anything but liquid liner when it comes to my upper lashline, I love the clean flick - the neatness and my makeup routine is definitely not complete without it! The Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Liner is a fan favorite, and for good reason;

-it dries to a matte black finish
-has a user friendly pen-type brush that makes application a breeze
-super easily available locally
-lasts ages!

A while back when I went to pick up a new bottle of the Rimmel eyeliner, I came across a box that had the eyeliner, a Scandal Eyes mascara and an eyebrow pencil priced for PKR 1500 - given that the eye liner alone is PKR 800 I went for the deal. Now I've tried the Rommel Scandal Eyes waterproof eye pencils and they truly are amazing and long lasting so I thought the mascara would be great too and I'm happy to report it is. Now if you're looking for a mascara that voluminizes and lengthens and separates your lashes like a dream, then don't go for this one since it does all that but in a very natural way. Going for a no makeup-makeup look? Then this will be your perfect companion!

Sadly, the eye brow pencil was a bit too brown for my liking but even without that, the Rimmel combo is a great deal and I've seen these everywhere, so next time you see one, I'd say go for it!

Price for all three - PKR 1500
Availability - All makeup stores across Pakistan

Spring Outfit Of The Day!

Long time no outfit of the day - haha, I really should be doing them more often since they're one of the most liked posts on my blog. On this super hot day I decided to give preference to comfort over style with a lose flow-y top made of aztec printed chiffon and paired it with cotton jeggings from Limelight! These are seriously the BEST jeggings I have ever bought - thin material, stretchable, not too warm for the summers and super affordable! They come under PKR 1500 - I'll definitely be picking up an extra pair or two, can foresee these becoming a stable in the summers for me.

For my face, I slapped on what I like to call my summer melt proof face - here's how it's done - I start with the Art Deco Camouflage concealer which is friction resistant and follow it with a light dusting of Rimmel London Stay Matte powder in transparent. Follow the with the Essence Pakistan ombre blush in Dates in Skates and the DMGM Cosmetics illuminator on the cheek bones. For my eyes I line my upper lash line with Color Studio Pakistan Water Proof eye liner that lasts for ages and used Maybelline New York 12 hour colossal kajal for my lower lash line. On my lips is DMGM Cosmetics transfer resistant photo fix lip color that easily lasts even with eating and drinking!

The Louboutin Nude Collection - 5 Shade Of Nudes

Whether it's makeup or shoes, it's safe to say one shade of nude does not fit all. Anyone who has bought makeup after drooling over Instagram makeup artist would know what I'm talking about. What maybe the perfect nude for someone might look a lot like concealer lips on another -not a look anyone goes for intentionally unless you're in the early 2000's haha. Keeping this in mind, the soul behind the iconic Louboutin red sole has launched a 5 shade nude collection - one that has different 'nudes' based on varying skin tones - love the idea and it's execution yet the over $400/pair will definitely not be everyone's cup of tea! Check out some of the images below - what do you think of this collection? Let me know x

Where Is Ali Xeeshan?

No drama or theatrics in a fashion show? Ali Xeeshan is one of the very few designers who leaves the ramp with a lasting impression. Known for his theatrics and glamming up fashion shows with his creative ideas, he has become one of the most sought after designers that people look forward to in a fashion show. He’s been given many names, a showman, a craftsman, a magician with remarkable creativity, and now this darling of the design world is the new bad boy of fashion.

Known for his theatrics on stage and breathtaking aesthetic Ali has been the life of many fashion weeks. Whether you love him or hate him, you cannot ignore him. He is loud and he is proud of it.

This is why it’s disappointing to see that he will be sitting PSFW 2015 out. With no drama or glamorous catwalks, there is certainly a gap felt in this years’ fashion show, the question on every one’s mind is where is Ali Xeeshan?

He is very much here and will be spreading love on the red carpet, enjoying Frow-er status at the shows but we know of the unsavory incident that happened between Ali and a journalist last year which included a much talked about physical assault and required strict disciplinary action by the council against this good boy gone bad.

"Sometimes things happen in a moment but there is always history behind them. I felt I was cornered at the time of the incident, and if the Council feels it’s important to take some sort of action, I respect that. I cannot however sit and cry about it, I am planning to have a ball at PSFW even if I am not on the ramp. It is a blessing in disguise for me as well, as I have had a chance to analyze where I am and where I want to be in the business of fashion. The international fashion world is my oyster and I am going to take it on"

There it is then. He is one designer that will make it back to the ramp with a bang, that’s one thing you can be sure of. With his future endeavors in place and exciting new projects, Ali Xeeshan is still going on strong.

The Body Shop Perfumes - From Day To Night

I'm big on perfumes, yet I have never ever finished a bottle (unless it was stolen - read borrowed - by my mother and she finished it for me haha) - Recently I got to try out a few The Body Shop perfumes, and I really enjoyed using them! I had a few of my own as well so I decided to choose the top three perfumes that would take you from day to night easily.

Let's start with the lightest scent of the three and then move on to the ones more suitable for the evenings. The lightest scent in terms of it not being over powering and my personal favorite out of the bunch is White Musk Libertine  - I use it almost everyday as soon as I wake up and automatically feel refreshed. The scent is floral and fresh combined together- so not too over overwhelmingly sweet!

The next on, Forbidden Flower* is much lighter than what I had expected when I read the name and looked at the bottle, I thought it would've been much smokie-r and denser but it's not, meaning you can even wear this during the day time. In my opinion, this is perfect to spritz on the go if you're rushing from school/office to meet up with friends.

Now coming on to the Red Musk*. There was alot of hype surrounding this a while back given how it's the first women's perfume in the world that has no floral undertones and mainly consists of Musk and Tobacco. Personally I'm not the biggest fan of this perfume since this is just way too strong for my liking but my mother does like it alot - so if you're a fan of heavy musky scents then this is for you, other wise I'd say, give this one a miss.

Indian Beauty Products / Lakme Haul!

I forgot to post this blog post! It's from somewhere in October 2014!

It was only a while back that I was preparing for a short trip to India but sadly due to visa issues I wasn't able to make it. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I had a friend coming from there who was kind enough to get me a whole lotta goodies. I had asked for Lakme since I've tried their products before and absolutely loved them - the really are excellent no matter what they do; skin care or makeup! Their foundations and lipsticks are better than MAC ones in my opinion. Check out what I got below :) Have you tried any Indian brands? Let me know in the comments below x

Farah Talib Aziz Lawn 2015 (featuring Ainy Jaffri)

Yes, we still have lawn collections left! This one is super pretty, fun and girly - the epitome of spring and summer in my opinion. When I head Muzi Sufi was on-board I couldn't wait to see the images and her take on a lawn shoot. While the shots are stunning and don't disappoint, they're just not Muzi Sufi enough for me, if that's even a thing haha! Coming on the the lawn collection itself, super girly and super fun with it's light pastels and motives. Check some of my favorites below! Which one do you like best?
