Hey guys! Back with a haul post, who doesn't love them? This time around my mom went to America for a training and she grabbed a few beauty related bits and bobs for me on her way back. I gave her a never ending list but she refused to even acknowledge its existence claiming that I already have too much makeup haha.

1. ELF 5 Peice Eyeshadow Set in Day
2. Revlon Custom Eyes Mascara
3. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
4. Wet n Wild Lipsticks
5. Revlon Nail Varnishes
6. The Body Shops Strawberry Body Butter

Anything you guys like? I might be giving away some of the things from this haul in an upcoming giveaway so keep your eyes peeled for that! Yaay!

Until next time, tc .

Nayabs Life # 2

11.25.2012

So what have I been upto lately? Nothing interesting, at all! But I wanted to do a lifestyle post since I'm not feeling all beauty blogger-y lately so here's a collection of pictures from a couple of days. Hope you enjoy them!

How gorgeous are these two offering by Revlon? I'll definitely be featuring them in upcoming NOTD's irregardless of them being a bit too summery for these cold winter nights haha! Such a rebel I am.

I've seen loads of pictures like these on Google etc, so I thought I'd snap one too, because I really didn't have anything better to do (that sentence rhymes!) lol. A few more markers would've made the picture look fuller in my opinion, oh well..

Nothing glamorous about having inhalers haha, but they are a necessity and I like to keep one everywhere, just in case.

So girls, let me introduce you to the love of my life, the man of my dreams, the reason for my existence.. Robert Pattinson. He's my future husband, he just doesn't know it yet. Ahh I could look at him forever and even that wouldn't be enough. Okay, okay, I'll stop with the fan-girling and the dramatics haha. Love Rob as much as I do?

Been re-reading Cecelia Ahern's The Book of Tomorrow, very different from her normal offerings but still a pleasure to read. It doesn't hurt that the cover is an absolute beauty to look at too.

About to burn The Body Shop's Aloes & Doucher De Lin candle. Having a lit candle during these frosty winter nights is a must! There's just something about candles that warm me up and make my feel all cozy. Are you a fan of candles?

Been loving Amber Romance! Love Spell by Victoria's Secret is heavenly but this is a bit more fitting for chilly nights since it has that warm smell to it. I'm not sure why I actually described a scent as warm though, sometimes I puzzle me too! Lol.

So those were some pictures from recent times in my life haha. I love doing posts like these every once in a while and I hope you enjoy reading them. Please let me know in the comments below :)

Until next time, tc.

Review-Color Studio Professional Blush

11.23.2012

Color Studio Professional is a brand that started out with a few products like nail varnishes and lip glosses, and slowly it has been branching out into blushes, foundations, eye shadows, eye liners and lipsticks. I've been pleasantly surprised with everything I've tried so far from the brand but the blush-ons have to be my favorite!

Now the blush does look kinda scary at first glance with all the orange that you see, but I picked it up on a whim anyways and I'm soo glad it did! I was always one for pinky blushes, never knowing how much an orange hued blush would suit my Asian skin tone. I've been wearing it non stop since the day I got it about two months and it hasn't made a dent in the product so you do definitely get your moneys worth out of it!

The blush is highly pigmented so keeping a light hand and then building up the intensity is what I'd recommend. I don't have super fantastic brushes to apply my blush with and it still blends in really well and doesn't look patchy or as if you have blobs of orange on your cheeks! Haha! The lasting power of it, honestly, depends on the weather. If you use it during hot and humid days it wont last forever, but if you use it during nicer, cooler less humid weather, you'll get god wear out of it. I think this applies to every makeup product, the longevity depends alot of the weather.

Packaging wise the basic plastic is pretty sturdy although after two months of chucking it in my bag and dropping it anywhere and everywhere the lids hinge has come off. In the products defense, I am super clumsy and anyone who's a bit more careful with their makeup won't find this to be a problem.

All in all, I'd definitely recommend it and for the price of PKR 550 this is an absolute gem!

Review-St Ives Green Tea Scrub

11.06.2012

I'm not someone who has acne, severe breakouts or sensitive skin that may react to products. What I do get is one or two pimples, almost monthly due to hormonal changes, I'm assuming. Now I used to believe that these pimples would always be a monthly recurrence so I wasn't expecting them to not pop-up for almost 3 months now! (touch wood)

Now first things first, if you've used the St Ives Apricot Scrub and you expect this to be of the same texture, then it is not! Where that scrub is almost abrasive and harsh even on my non sensitive skin, this is much more gentler in comparison. I would describe this scrub almost as a gritty cleanser instead of a proper scrub. There are no visible granules, only tiny ones that can be felt when massaged against the skin.

When it comes to scent, then there is a faint scent which is acceptable to me, it may seem un pleasant to some but it is almost non detectable. To see whether you can deal with the strange scent you could just take a sniff of the product before purchasing it.

Now coming to the claims, the product is supposed to clear breakouts and reduce redness. I agree with the clearing breakouts part a 100%. The pimples that used to pop up almost monthly haven't come back to torment me in nearly three months and the only change in my skin care routine is the addition of this scrub, along with another product that I'll be reviewing soon. I can't vouch for whether it'll reduce redness since I don't have any and I can't tell any difference in that area.

All in all, for its price of PKR 275, this is hands down the best breakout reducing product I've used. Although the product doesn't have the typical scrub texture it still takes away dead skin and I can use it everyday, even twice a day without wearing out my skin.

If you're looking for something that'll control and reduce your breakouts, then this is a must try. Obviously it goes without saying that everyone's skin reacts differently to different products and what works wonderfully for me might not do anything for you and vice versa, but this is a product that I feel will work for most.Click here to know more about me if you'd like! :)

P.S- Do you guys use under eye creams? Any recommendations which can easily be purchased in Pakistan? Let me know in the comments below :)
