Favourites of 2013 Tag!

I may potentially be the very last person to do this tag, which is a combination result of my world class procrastination and the fact that I did not want to over crowd everyone's blogger feed with the 2013 Favorites product posts. So hopefully you guys haven't had enough of these posts and would enjoy having a read of my one! There is a catch though in my one. I have chosen ONLY ONE PRODUCT from each category like foundation, lip gloss etc so you guys can know about the products that I really LOVE!

Dior Eclate Satin Moisture Release Foundation

2013 was the year that I gave up foundation, because it was honestly just another step in my morning routine that wasn't really necessary. I have nice skin that doesn't need much coverage but this is the one foundation I used consistently whenever I was getting ready for a wedding or something special. It has that beautiful semi matte yet radiant finish that makes me look like I've had a good nights sleep even when I haven't haha.

MAC Blush-Peaches

When I first bought this blush, I was a bit worried that it wouldn't show up on my skin tone since in the Google swatches, it was mostly girls with a lighter skin tone than mine who were using it. I'm soo glad I took the chance and got this since it's one of those blushes that almost sculpt your cheeks too when applied. Plus the fact that I got it for a bargain price of PKR 1600 only helps too :)

Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo-Eternal Gold

I don't usually faff around with eyeshadow too much so having this stunning gold cream eyeshadow that lasts for hours and hours made me use it again and again! You can use this with your fingers for the best result, either dab it on lightly for a gold sheen or pack it on for a more metallicy look.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer-Natural Beige (review)

I'll be the first to say that even I'm dissapointed in Rimmel with the constant price raise where this concealer is concerned. I used to buy it for PKR 650 once upon a time, and now it's for PKR 850. Alot of the amount gets wasted on the brush applicator that it has but I am soo dependent on this concealer, it's not even funny! I've never had a concealer that highlights soo beautifully under my eyes whilst providing medium coverage as well. I continue to buy it and I'm pretty sure you guys will see this in my 2014 favorites as well haha. Talk about dependence on a product lol.

Luscious Cosmetics LE Nail Varnish-Nickie Nina

Now, like the Rimmel concealer this is a product that can be easily replaced by better ones in the market, but I have not loved a color more than this in a while. I even have a backup of this shade. The consistency is thin and runny, you need a good 2-3 coats to get the real color on your nails but once you do it is a shade that is so 'me' that I forget what an effort it is to use haha. Love the almost black/purple amethyst shade!

Maybelline The Faslies Volume Express Mascara

When i first bought this mascara around 2 years back, I hated it! It was just way too 'wet' for me to use in a hurry so I used it a couple of times, and forgot all about it. Fast forward a few weeks and I accidentally reached for it again, and was I surprised with how much I loved it. The wetness of it had changed into a nice thick consistency that did alot for my barely existing lashes. This is how I use this mascara always. I buy it, open it, leave it for a few weeks and then use the best mascara ever (in my opinion, at least haha)

Essence Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
Avon Super Shock Gel Eyeliner Pencil

When I tried out the Rimmel Scandal Eyes pencil eye liner, I was blown away by it. In my mind, I had found my hold grail eyeliners. The darkest black in one swipe, glides on like a dream, stays put and non smudge-y. Enter the Avon Pencil Gel eyeliner, it is everything that the Rimmel on was except just more pocket friendly and even creamier! Therefore, as much as I love the Rimmel Scandal eyes one, I don't think there's any comparison to the Avon gel one :) I'm not very fussy when it comes to liquid eyeliners so this waterproof one by Essence was purchased at least 3 times during the year!

Rimmel Apocalips-Apocalyptic (review)
Wet N Wild Mega Last Lipstick- Sugar Plum Fairy (review)

For lipsticks, my absolute LOVE of 2013 is this Wet n Wild one. Satin matte finish, super long lasting and such a diverse color. Layer it up for an intense vampy look or dab it on for a lovely cherry kissed look. The fact that it costs not even $3 is unbeleiveable.

Now I'm not a fan of lip glosses and my long term readers would know that, so this lipstick/lipgloss hybrid which is freakin pigmented is hands down my favorite. Rimmel just introduced a few more colors for their Apocalips and I can't wait to get my hands on some!

Revlon Color Stay Aqua Mineral Makeup

I started using this powder in the summers and I loved it! Not because it is so super finely milled, or because it glided on my skin like silk, but because it has a cooling effect! How cool is that! When you apply this powder, due to the aqua properties in it, you actually feel a cooling sensation and there's nothing better than that in the summers, trust me!

Luscious I Love Eyeshadow Palette- Spring Bloom (review)

Like I said, I'm not the biggest eyeshadow fan, but I do love lining my lower lash line with different colors when I do my makeup, and this palette was really useful for that since it has a fair few shades for that pop of color look :) There are better eye shadows palettes in the market, but for some reason, I picked this up alot during the year, much more than my other ones.

Woah! That was a huge post haha. Hopefully you guys enjoyed it and didn't think it was a drag :) Are any of my favorites your favorites? Let me know in the comments below :)

Until next time, tc.
