End of Year & Black Friday Haul

12.24.2013

With 2013 coming to an end, I have a couple of posts lined up, all with the same 'End of 2013' theme. Hope you guys enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed creating them for you. So without further ado, here's a little haul of what I purchased on Black Friday 2013 on freakin amazzzzing prices!

I'm not really sure whether this little editing disaster is cheesy or too much or just a big fat fail. Let me know in the comments below about how badly I sucked at adding 'interest capturing' pictures to my blog haha.

Now I've said this before and I'll say it again, I'm really not the greatest when it comes to eye shadows and doing perfectly blended looks so I decided to get a few higher end palettes hoping that the better quality would improve my skills, only time will tell haha. This in no way means that I don't like drugstore palettes, I LOVE them, they're all I have in my collection, I'm just trying to excuse my lack of eye makeup skills above haha, because I'm a pretty good excuse-maker lol.

This is the Nude 'Tude palette by The Balm and I got this along with another cheeky purchase for quite a bargain which shall be unveiled below haha.

The same thinking applied when I was purchasing this beautiful Urban Decay Book of Shadows 4 Redux. (The Redux version has some shades which are newly introduced to this version of the palette and not the original Book of Shadows 4, plus all the eye shadows have been reformulated so you don't get the 2 year old formula, but the latest one!) and also the fact that I basically got 16 Urban Decay eye shadows (with the new formula), a full size UD liquid eyeliner in Perversion, a deluxe sized UD primer potion and a deluxe sized super curling mascara for the supper duper bargainous price of $24! I know, unbelievable right? All I said when I saw this offer was COME TO MAMA!

When I was ordering the Book of Shadows at the Urban Decay website, they had free shipping at $35 so instead of paying $8 for shipping I decided to add something around the $10 mark to my cart so that and the $24 BOS and taxes would cross the $35 mark. Guess what I stumbled across? This full-sized Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin for only $10 bucks. It really was meant to be haha.

The Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter was my second cheeky purchase from The Balm's website and I got it both the things for less than the original price of the palette! Can you believe it? The Nude 'Tude Palette + Mary Lou Manizer + Taxes & Shipping = $34! And to know that the eye shadow palette alone originally costs $34 without shipping, I'd say I got a fabulous deal. When I saw the total I vowed to never ever shop on regular priced days haha.

This wasn't a Black Friday but a very sweet present from my friend who was actually bringing all of this stuff for me from the States. I love Revlon's Lip Butters to I'm very happy to add some more to my collection :)

Now here's some Maths for you lot so you guys can see the amount of money I saved on Black Friday.

Total of the products (original prices) - UD BOS $34 + UD Primer Potion $20 + Nude Tude $ 34 + Mary Lou Manizer $24 = $112

Total of the products (black Friday prices) - UD BOS $24 + UD Primer Potion $10 + Nude Tude & Mary Lou Manizer $34 = $68

Total Saving - $112 - $68 = $44!

I'm pretty happy with the deals I got. What did you guys get? Link below any of your latest haul posts or Black Friday hauls since I would love to have a look :)

Hope you enjoyed this post, until next time, tc.

Guest Post - Look Like A Fashion Goddess This Winter

Chilly, isn’t it? Those extra caffeine coffees aren’t keeping you warm enough, are they? Well, let the Genie out of the lamp! We have the best wraps for you to flaunt off. Pakistani dresses for women, do not prove to fight the chilly winter nights of the country. No, not quite! Those chooridaars are way too light!

And yes, you can pull together a funny looking muffler & a dorky hat to warm up. However, one just cannot ignore shawl wraps during winters, especially when you have put together a Pakistani dress for a chilly evening. A Khaadi or
woolen shawl is a must carry for an occasion like this.

The concept of shawls is not only a part of our culture but is also considered modest & exhibits sophistication in any Pakistani woman. Hence, with the advent of modern web-networks, Pakistani stay-at-home mommies can easily shop for almost anything from Pakistani online shopping stores including grocery, technology, furniture & even clothes. This has quite an impact on women willing to save time & make the most of it.

Khaadi is such a fabric that lingers on for all seasons in Pakistan. And when Khaadi shawls are in question? Hubba Hubba! What woman does not want a hand on one of those, and so Daraz has a brilliant & huge collection of these in its ‘Accessories Category’. It has variety in colors, embossments & embroidery. Wrap up yourself in style this winter, purchasing from a huge leading Pakistani online shop, while we assure you that you’ll not regret buying from us.

All women are attracted to beauty & we all agree on that. And this is why you won’t be able to look past these beautiful stoles because these have the newest & most updated Pakistani prints & embroideries which are the show casings of some of the most renowned brands known to the face of Pakistan today, such as Rush Ke Kashmir, Hussain Handicrafts & Arino Apparel etc.

A winter outfit is more than incomplete without a stylish wrap around shawl. These shawls will not only flash off glamor, but will also persuade the way of grace. Grab one of these shawls from Daraz & pull your chin up high in celebration. You might be a superstar in the next room you walk into!

P.S: Word of advice. Do not go around wearing your daddy’s humongous jacket. Oh no! That will disgrace all fashion figures, including you.

Please don’t do it.
